It all started when...

Andrew Hund, owner at Hund's Re-Cycle Factory, had the big idea that people who want a bike, deserve a bike to set them on the right path in life...a bike path. Since 2010, Hund's Re-Cycle Factory has provided the Norfolk, VA community with a place where old bikes go to start a new life, and the community goes for all types of cycle related needs. Hund's Re-Cycle Factory has donated hundreds of bikes throughout the region, has installed countless custom bike racks for people to safely park their steed, and has graciously supported We Love People & Bikes; helping it grow and become what it is today.

We Love People & Bikes came out of a desire to connect the people of Norfolk and surrounding cities through a shared interest in keeping each other safe on the road. Our goal is to advocate for safe riding conditions and bicycle accesability. Through our public awareness and share the road campaigns, community programs and events, and by partnering with local businesses and organizations; we hope to increase bike safety and ridership throughout the region. It's not about the gear nor the clout, it's about people… and a love for one another's company on this great bike path we call Hampton Roads, Virginia!
